Interview

This is our interview about Global Warming with a guy from California his name is Sergio.

 Us               :  hi

Sergio        : hello

Us                : may i interview you?

Sergio        : haha maybe

Us                : where do you live?

Sergio        : california

Us                : how about environment in there?

Sergio        : I live in a pretty foresty area, lots of trees. but near the beach

Us                : is there comfortable there?

Sergio        : yeah, if you got the money...

Us                : ohahaha what do you think about global warming?

Sergio        : that its very real and that we are rushing to our own extinction

Us                 : You're so lucky to live near forest and beach

Sergio        : yeah i like forest not so much the beach

Us                : Why?

Sergio        : I dont like sand and the water is too cold

Us                : ohahaha what should we do to face global warming?

Sergio        : honestly, get guns, stock up on supplies and get ready for chaos. cause when the economy crashes, everything is going to shit.

Us                : and what do you expect next?

Sergio        : a slow extinction. we'll die off one by one till theres no one left

Us                 : Okay

Sergio        : lol. life sucks, gotta make the best of it.

Us                : that's true, thanks a lot

Sergio        : no prob

Us                : may i put this interview in my blog for my english task?

Sergio        : haha its pretty depressing but you can if you want to

Us                : THANKS A LOT! you can visit our blog http://enviromentally-friendly.blogspot.com/ whats your name?

Sergio        : sergio. you?

Us                : devinda, dinan and fira.

Sergio        : ah, cool

Us                : thanks for your time and information

Sergio        : no prob.

Why we choose this topic??

We choose this topic because we care about the earth's condition due to global warming. There are many free spaces has become the skyscrapers and lots of water absorption that had been diminish. Many trees decrease because of illegal logging. That's all cause the effect of global warming increase.

Pollution - The Danger of Carbon Dioxide

One of the causes of global warming is pollution. Pollution is contamination. Average air pollution resulting from motor vehicle exhaust fumes or factories. With the fumes, the air become dirty and we who breath it, will breathless. Even if we pollute the air with certain substance, air can become toxic.

We are still make the wastes which can caused pollution. It can be said, If we continue to make the waste (limbah), pollution would not be inevitable. We must be smarter to treat the waste that exist and trying hard to restrore the natural resources which have been exposed to pollution. In fact, many ways to clean up a polluted natural resources.

To restore land that has been contaminated, we can conserve soil. We can use reboisation. Plants can help to fertilized the soil and can absorb some chemicals from the soil. For water, we can do with the advanced techology of water filtration. The trick is to accumualate layers of sand, gravels, and ground in a drum. Then put the dirty water and if water has been flowing at the bottom of the drum, the water will be clean. The layers had been filter out impurities in the water so that water can be clean again.

Tips To Reduce Global Warming

1. Reduce meet consumption
2. Eat and cook the ingredients are still fresh
3. Buy local products
4. Recycling aluminum, plastic, and paper
5. Buy in a large packs
6. Turn off the oven a few minutes before time
7. Avoid fast food
8. Bring a bag that can be reused
9. Use washable cups
10. Planting trees every chance
11. Lower the temperature of your air conditioner
12. Use a timer to remind to turn off the AC
13. Use a solar water heater
14. Turn off unused lights and do not leave water dripping
15. Use energy-saving lamps
16. Maximize natural lighting
17. When your battery is full while charging, immediately unplug it!
18. Avoid stand-by position on your electronics!
19. Reduce time when opening your refrigerator
20. Do not buy cut flowers
21. Cut food in a smaller size

Difference between the Greenhouse Effect, Global Warming and Climate Change?

Greenhouse effect is the cause, while the Global Warming and Climate Change is the result. Greenhouse effect caused the accumulation of heat (energy) in Earth's atmosphere. Given the excessive accumulation, the climate adjusment. Adjusment is one of raising the temperature of earth, then called Global Warming and refional-climate rainfall pattern, evaporation, formation of lay or climate change

Does El Nino have anything to do with Global Warming and Climate Change?
El Nino is a natural phenomenon that has occurred since centuries ago, although notalways with the same pattern. He is a heat wave at the equator of the Pacific Ocean. Now, El Nino appears every 2-7 years, more robust and contribute to the increased temperature of the earth. The impact can be felt around the world and show that the climate on earth is really in touch. Scientist examine how global warming caused by human activity can effect the El Nino, the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere help to inject heat to Pacific Ocean. Therefore, El Nino appears more frequent and more ferocious than ever.

Global Warming

Global warming is a process of increasing the average temperature of the atmosphere. Global average temperature at Earth's surface has risen during the last hundred years. Most of the increased of global average temperatures since the mid-20th century most likely caused by the increased concentrations of greenhouse gases due the human activity.

Greenhouse effect is a heating process of the surface of an object (especially planet or a satellite) that is caused by the composition and state of the atmosphere. The greenhouse effect caused by rising concentrations of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other gases in the atmosphere. The increase in CO2 concentration is caused by rising fuel burning oil, coal and other organic fuels which exceed the ability of plants and sea to absorb it. Besides CO2 which can cause the greenhouse effect is sulfur dioxide, nitrogenmonoxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxode (NO2) and some organic compounds such asmethane and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). These gases play an important role in enhancing the greenhouse effect.
Rising global temperatures are expected to lead to other changes such us rising sea levels, increased intensity of extreme phenomena and changes in number and pattern precipitation. Precipitation is one of the main component of water cycle, and its the main source of freshwater in this earth. The other consequences of global warming is influenced of agriculture output, lost gracier, and the extinction of various animal species.
Increasing the temperature of the earth's surface will result in a cery extreme climate changes on earth. This can lead to disruption of forests and other ecosystems, and reduce its ability to absorb carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Global warming resulting in the melting of iceberg in the polar regions that could lead to rising sea levels.
According to the simulation calculation, the greenhouse effect has increased the Earth's temperature 1-5 degrees celcius. If the trend of increased greenhouse gases remain as they are  now global warming will cause an increase between 1.5 - 4.5 degrees celcius around 2030. With increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, the more heat waves reflected from the surface of the earth's is absorbed. This will result in the earth's surface temperature to rise.
